Meet Our Medical Director, A Los Angeles Lung Doctor & Sleep Specialist

Dr. Abraham Ishaaya, a respected physician and teacher, has had an extensive private practice in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine since 1996.  He balances his time between treating patients and teaching residents and fellows at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, part of the UCLA School of Medicine, where he is also an assistant clinical professor.

Dr. Ishaaya is on staff as a Los Angeles lung doctor at several Los Angeles-based hospitals including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Olympia Medical Center and Brotman Medical Center. He speaks English, Hebrew, Russian and Spanish.

At the age of 16, Dr. Ishaaya entered UCLA, where he graduated with honors.  By the age of 19, he began studying medicine at the University of Maryland, which awarded the young doctor his medical degree. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care, with a special emphasis in sleep medicine, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and geriatrics medicine, Dr. Ishaaya is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.

Dr. Ishaaya has received numerous awards and has held many appointments at several hospitals and medical associations.  He was accepted as a life member of the National Registry of Who’s Who. He is discreet and professional – which is why he is the doctor of choice for a number of high-profile, celebrity patients.
